Start here with the AOBA official website. It will give you the best overall information about the alpaca industry. If you are interested in learning about alpacas, visit this site and consider joining the association. You will receive the official Alpacas Magazine (one of the best trade publications produced!) and the names and locations of breeders in your area as well as throughout the country.
Garland Farm is a member of AOBA and participates in many AOBA shows and events throughout the year. Visit the Events Calendar site to see a list of upcoming shows and events in your area. Visiting an alpaca show is fun for the entire family and a great way to learn about alpacas.
The Alpaca Registry (www.alpacaregistry.net)
This is the official registry for the alpaca industry in the United States. The Registry houses the genealogy and pedigree information about registered alpacas dating back to its inception in the 1980's. The database is used to track parentage and bloodlines of alpacas in order to increase their value and help alpaca owners make wise breeding and purchasing decisions. Garland Farm is a member of The Alpaca Registry and all of our alpacas are ARI registered.
Georgia Alpaca Association (www.georgia-alpaca.com)
Garland Farm is proud to be a charter member of the newly formed Georgia Alpaca Association. Watch for their new website and information about Georgia alpaca breeders. Mark your calendars and plan to visit our First Georgia Alpaca Show February 23-24, 2008.
